Whether you're creating something from scratch, fixing a file before printing or making last-minute adjustments before production, you don't need to bring your own computer—or own hundreds of dollars worth of software just to get the job done.

Apple iMac Workstations

Our computer lab includes a mix of 24-inch and 27-inch Apple iMacs, giving members plenty of screen space for design, photography and production work.

They're especially useful for:

Adobe Illustrator • Adobe Photoshop • Layout & Design • Photo Editing • Vector Graphics • Print Preparation • File Conversion

The larger displays make it easier to work on detailed artwork, compare colors, prepare multi-page layouts and see the whole project before it heads to a printer or cutter.

Dell PC Workstations

We also maintain Dell PC workstations for members who prefer Windows or need access to equipment and workflows built around the PC environment.

​

Having both Mac and Windows computers means Print Shop can accommodate a wider range of files, software and production systems—and makes it a lot easier when a particular machine insists on speaking only one technological dialect.

Adobe Creative Cloud

Members have access to the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including the programs we use most heavily every day:

 

Adobe Photoshop

For photo editing, image cleanup, color correction, compositing, artwork preparation and raster graphics.

​

Photoshop is especially useful for preparing photographs, scanned artwork, sublimation graphics, posters and other image-based projects.

​

Adobe Illustrator

For logos, vector graphics, signs, decals, cut vinyl, apparel graphics and production artwork.

Illustrator is one of the most useful tools in the shop because vector artwork can be scaled without losing quality and works beautifully with equipment like the Roland printer/cutter, Graphtec vinyl cutter and Gerber system.

And because we have access to the broader Adobe Creative Cloud suite, members can work across additional Adobe applications when a project calls for them.

iPad Pros + Apple Pencil

Sometimes a mouse just isn't the right tool.

Our iPad Pros with Apple Pencil and ProCreate give artists and designers a more natural way to sketch, draw, mark up files and develop ideas digitally.

Start something by hand on the iPad, move it onto an iMac for cleanup and layout, and then send it straight into production.

Wi-Fi + Internet Access

Print Shop also provides Wi-Fi and internet access throughout the workspace, making it easy to download files, access cloud storage, send proofs, research materials or work from your own laptop while you're in the shop.

​

Bring a project on a flash drive, pull it from the cloud, email it to yourself, or build it from scratch while you're here.
