Descripción del servicio
Launch Lab at the Print Shop is a two-week, small-cohort summer intensive designed for rising 8th–10th graders who want to turn ideas into real-world products. This is not a traditional art camp. Launch Lab is a hands-on creative business experience where students develop their own brand — either a small business concept or a mission-driven social enterprise — from idea to finished product. Working in a focused group of just 5–6 students, participants receive individualized mentorship and meaningful access to professional print equipment. Over two weeks, students move through the full creative process: • Identify a problem, passion, or opportunity • Develop a clear brand concept and audience • Design a logo and visual identity • Produce real merchandise using print equipment • Learn basic pricing, cost analysis, and marketing strategy • Practice public speaking and deliver a final pitch Students will create multiple finished products, such as apparel, stickers, paper goods, or other printed items, while gaining experience with professional tools in a supervised, structured environment. The program culminates in a Launch Showcase, where students present their brand and products to family and invited guests - Friday, July 3rd at 11am. Launch Lab builds creative confidence, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of how design, production, and business fundamentals connect in the real world. Rather than consuming content, students learn how to create it — and how to bring their ideas to life. Enrollment is limited to ensure safety, mentorship, and meaningful hands-on learning. This program is ideal for students interested in design, entrepreneurship, social impact, marketing, or hands-on creative work. Dates: June 22 – July 2 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–2:00pm Cohort size: 5–6 students *Tuition includes materials and supplies Students leave with tangible products, a developed brand identity, and a portfolio-ready project — along with the confidence that comes from building something real. What if my student’s school year overlaps the first day of Launch Lab? We understand that school calendars vary by district, and occasional snow days can push the last day of school later than expected. If your student’s final school day overlaps with the start of Launch Lab, they may join on their first available day. Because the program is limited to a small cohort, we’re able to help students get fully up to speed. In some cases, brief make-up time m
